A field jacket inspired by the double-sided camouflage pattern used by the U.S. military during World War II, commonly known as “Frogskin” or “Duck Hunter” camouflage. The large, irregular spots that blur the outline were later incorporated into hunting apparel and became popular among the general public as “Duck Hunter Camo.”
This camouflage pattern, which has endured while shifting in use from military applications to hunting and eventually to vintage fashion, can drastically alter its appearance depending on how it’s worn. At BOW WOW, we’ve highlighted its distressed look, finishing it with a dry, weathered appearance reminiscent of a piece that’s seen long service in the field.
