Material / 100% COTTON
This piece draws inspiration from sweatpants that have been used daily in American schools, on sports teams, and during military training. The simple construction, originally designed for athletic wear, evolves over time—as colors fade—into the unique, personal character found only in vintage clothing.
A key feature is the dry, faded look resulting from repeated exposure to sunlight, washing, and friction. At BOW WOW, rather than creating a perfectly polished reissue, we envision a garment that already bears the marks of its owner’s lifestyle and use—as if those “traces of time” were already etched into the fabric—and assemble it as a brand-new product that incorporates even those marks.
A key characteristic is the dry, faded look resulting from repeated exposure to sunlight, washing, and friction. Rather than producing overly polished reproductions, BOW WOW envisions a state where the garment’s owner’s lifestyle and usage are imprinted on it over time, and assembles these items as brand-new products that incorporate even those “traces of time.”
