A field jacket inspired by the double-sided camouflage pattern used by the U.S. military during World War II, commonly known as “Frogskin” or “Duck Hunter” camouflage. The large, irregular spots that blur the outline were later incorporated into hunting wear and spread to the civilian market as “Duck Hunter Camo.”
This camouflage pattern, which has endured while shifting in use from military applications to hunting and eventually to vintage fashion, can drastically change its appearance depending on how it’s worn. At BOW WOW, we’ve highlighted its distressed look, finishing it with a dry, weathered appearance reminiscent of a jacket that has seen long-term use in the field.
We’ve reimagined these field pants to not only make a strong statement when worn as a set but also to blend in seamlessly on their own, just like a well-worn vintage piece.
