Material / 100% COTTON
This piece draws inspiration from the hooded sweatshirt, which evolved from American work and athletic wear. It gained popularity as a practical garment that could cover the head while working in cold conditions or waiting for competitions, and after World War II, it became a staple of a wide range of youth cultures, including college, skateboarding, and hip-hop.
Its defining feature is a dry, faded appearance resulting from repeated exposure to sunlight, washing, and friction. At BOW WOW, rather than creating a perfectly polished reissue, we envision a garment that already bears the marks of its owner’s lifestyle and use—as if those traces were etched into the fabric over time—and assemble it as a brand-new product that incorporates even those “traces of time.”
