Lowbrow art evolved against the backdrop of 1950s–60s hot rod culture. SKETCH, one of Japan’s leading lowbrow artists, is known as an iconic figure in hot rod culture through his artwork for JEFF DECKER and his participation in “MY FREEDOM.” For this collaboration, BOW WOW commissioned SKETCH to create a collection inspired by the hot rod culture of the 1950s and 1960s—the very roots of his art. Named “OFFBEAT MONSTER’S,” this collection features hot rod culture apparel that captures the spirit of that era. The airbrush designs utilize a special printing technique that makes them look as if they were actually airbrushed. These special products are crafted using BOW WOW’s vintage apparel production techniques to recreate the authentic feel and atmosphere of the time.
