20世紀のアメリカに残るワーク、ミリタリー、スポーツウエアの実用品と、その後の古着文化を背景にしたプロダクト。新品時の完成度よりも、誰かが長く使ったことで生まれる色、皺、汚れ、補修の痕跡に価値を見出している。

日焼け、洗濯、摩擦を重ねた乾いた退色、捕虜／収容所の管理記号を連想させる“PW”の粗いマーキングを大きな特徴としている。

“PW”の大きなマーキングは、軍の管理下で衣服に記号を直接入れたような緊張感を持つ。BOW WOWでは意味を説明し切るより、文字の擦れや配置から背景を想像させるプロダクトとして構成している。

Products inspired by the utilitarian workwear, military wear, and sportswear that remain from 20th-century America, as well as the vintage clothing culture that emerged afterward. The value lies not in the perfection of the item when new, but in the color, wrinkles, stains, and traces of repairs that result from long-term use by someone.
Key characteristics include a dry, faded appearance resulting from repeated sun exposure, washing, and friction, as well as the coarse “PW” markings reminiscent of prisoner-of-war or internment camp identification codes.
The large “PW” markings evoke a sense of tension, as if the symbols had been directly imprinted on the garments under military supervision. At BOW WOW, rather than fully explaining their meaning, we curate these products to allow the wearer to imagine their background based on the wear and placement of the letters.
